For the second consecutive year, I partnered with a Prague-based softball club to craft their visual identity for social media. The previous year’s designs had a significant positive impact, leading to increased engagement and growth across the club's digital platforms. This year, with the added momentum of qualifying for the prestigious European Super Cup—the pinnacle of European softball competitions—the club sought an evolved identity that would reflect their ongoing success and ambition. My role was to create a cohesive and dynamic visual style that would be used for promotional materials and game updates throughout the season, maintaining consistency across all social media channels.
The process began by revisiting the core elements that made the previous year’s identity successful—bold color palettes, dynamic typography, and striking imagery that captured the energy of the sport. To reflect the club’s progress and higher aspirations, I introduced new design elements, such as updated typography styles, fresh color combinations, and a more refined layout approach that emphasized the club’s competitive edge. A key challenge was to maintain brand continuity while ensuring the new look felt like a step forward. This was achieved through thoughtful iterations, testing designs for readability and visual impact across various platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. The final visual identity struck a balance between familiarity and innovation, making sure it could adapt to different formats, from match highlights to celebratory posts.
The new visual identity for the Prague-based softball club was instrumental in amplifying their presence during a crucial season. The designs were used for game updates, player spotlights, and promotional campaigns, creating a unified look across all social media channels. This helped maintain the momentum from their successful qualification for the European Super Cup, and the refreshed visuals played a role in keeping fans engaged throughout the season. The club saw continued growth in their social media following, increased interaction rates, and positive feedback from both fans and players. The project demonstrated how a carefully crafted identity can enhance a sports club’s digital storytelling, capturing the excitement of a season and celebrating their achievements on a broader stage.
